The Diani Sport Fishing Club conservation policy is to practice and advocate conservation activities that enhance and support sustainability within both the local community and the big game fishing experience for all anglers who fish within the waters off the South Coast of Kenya.
The Club, it’s members and guests understand and implement community based conservation education and projects amongst the local community. We pride ourselves in the education of local fishermen about selective and sustained fisheries activities to ensure the future of both inner-reef and pelagic fish species.
Key to this policy is the recognition that biologically sound conservation of our fisheries resources are fundamental to both present and future angling experiences as big game anglers. Therefore, the club adheres to a strict “tag & release” policy for all billfish species and a daily limit on other game fish species.
